Jen's background

Jens Roed Andersen is an experienced manager in the field of Information Security Management.

He is the owner of Roed & Infosec Consulting, which is an independent consultancy in the field of Information Security. He was the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Arla Foods, a global dairy company for more than eight years and has held executive positions in many global companies.

Jens has more than 15 years of management experience from the IT, consultancy and food industry. His primary experience comes from general IT Management and in working in the "gap" between IT and business. He is passionate about bridging this gap to unleash the full potential of IT in an ever more risk oriented society and business environment.

He is a certified Information Security specialist. He believes in facilitating IT as a driver for innovation and at the same time facilitate "out of the box" creative thinking. Hence, he is convinced that process-based Risk Management is the only business oriented answer to the security "arms race" between the good, the bad and the ugly.

His former experience comes from the academic world in mid-90's, where Internet was the brand new media that were used for informational purposes only to enhance international cooperation. His general management experience comes from the dot-com period and recently he has gained Risk Management experience from the new generation of internet use in the "network society".
