Here
are the steps to get started and to attain CGEIT Certification:
Step
1
Complete and submit the registration form indicating
your preferred course training date and location. The registration
form can be obtained in two ways. Firstly, it has been emailed to
you after a consultation. Secondly, it can be emailed to you on
request. Contact: sales@flip-side.biz.
Step
2
The next step is to register for the exam. The CGEIT exam is offered
annually during the months of June and December.
Step 3
Then, you prepare for the exam by completing the 4 day certification
course.
Step 4
Following completion of the 4 day course, you then proceed to take
the exam.
Admission Ticket
- A
few weeks before the CGEIT exam date, candidates will receive
a physical admission ticket and an e-ticket from ISACA.
- The
ticket will indicate the date, registration time and location
of the exam, schedule of events for that day and a list of materials
candidates must bring with them to take the CGEIT exam.
- To
receive this admission ticket, all fees must be paid.
Score
Report
- Approximately
eight weeks after the test date, the official exam results will
be mailed to candidates.
- An
email containing your pass/fail status can also be sent to the
candidate on request.
Scores
- ISACA
uses and reports scores on a common scale from 200 to 800. For
example, the scaled score of 800 represents a perfect score with
all questions answered correctly; a scaled score of 200 is the
lowest score possible.
-
A candidate must receive a score of 450 or higher to pass the
exam. A score of 450 represents a minimum consistent standard
of knowledge as established by ISACA’s CGEIT Certification
Committee.
- A
candidate receiving a passing score may then apply for certification
if all other requirements are met.
- Passing the
exam does not grant the CGEIT designation. To become a CGEIT each
candidate must complete all requirements as listed on page 4 of
the CGEIT
Bulletin of Information.
- A
candidate receiving a score of less than 450 has not passed and
can retake the exam by registering and paying the appropriate
exam fee for any future exam administration.
- There
are no limits to the number of times a candidate can take the
exam.
